Meet in the quad after lunch and we’ll place hacky-sack.
That looks impressive, well done! The corners in particular must have been really tricky…
I can’t really even sew myself to be honest, the most sewing I’ve done is using a handheld chain-stitch machine to repair ripped clothing
As my name might suggest I’ve got a few big sewing machines to mess around with and that made it way easier lol
Post your shoes, coward!
What kind of machines ya’ got? I got my first industrial Juki a couple years ago, and I absolutely love it! Makes me wonder what else I’ve been missing out on.
Knee lifts?? Life-changing.
I’ve got a Singer 31-15 tabletop I just fixed up and got working but I used a Singer 29k60 to make these
Good lord, I’m so jealous! Thank you for showing it off! Always exciting to see what machines other folks work with!
So I get how you can internally sew all seams except the final one - how do you do it?
you generally sew all except one seam with the piece turned inside out. then you flip it and stuff it and finish that last seam. you have the edges of both sides folded inside and pinned in place, and when you pull your stitches tight it looks just like all the other seams.
Pure conjure: stich it, but leave the stitches extremely loose until you turn it right side out.
is that all different colored leather? where do you get it from?
Furniture samples, when someone like La-Z-Boy gets a new line of furniture they get a chain loaded up with swatches of leather to compare colors. I just grab then when they don’t carry that line anymore
do you have to work at a la-z-boy retailer to swing that, or do you just roll up as a customer and ask for old samples?
Honestly think they were offered to the shop directly but I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to ask
Thanks for the replies! ^^
Oh man that brings me back
