Would you be confused? Would you be mad? Would you even care?

LOL, I’d never do this, but it seems harmless silly enough…

Great prank, I’d definitely notice… after trying to open the wrong side twice.

Another one: Replace all the bath towels with similar, smaller towels.

Replace all the bath towels with similar, smaller towels.

do this over a longer period of time. constantly making them a tiny bit smaller

Fine, we’ll just flip the doors upside down on yours. /s

LOL, again I’d never actually do that in the first place, but it’s still a funny thought.

I’d notice it because of muscle memory. Then get puzzled for five seconds, and then think “ah! So that’s what’s happening…”

As long as the person undoes the swap afterwards I’d just find it fun.

given I have french doors it would be very noticable and I think impossible. swapping the doors might work but they are identical to befin with.

Yes, I would notice, and yes, I would be really fucking annoyed. I swapped the fridge door to the way it is so that I can turn from my stovetop and open it with my dominant hand. Fittings were worn and I barely made it work without running something, so changing it for the prank and then again to correct it would probably damage it for good.

Yes, because it would open up into the wall.

I would also notice it even if it didn’t because I am a creature of habit and changes like that are obvious.

Yes I would notice, yes I would be confused, yes I would be mad. My fridge stands against a wall on one side and would become basically impossible to access.

I’d notice immediately since it would become annoying to use by a lot. I’m unsure if I’d known how to fix easily, or if it required a second able bodied person.

“Hello guy who mows the lawn for us, can you change how the fridge door opens? Someone broke in and changed it. Yes, I’m going to therapy, don’t worry, if I’m crazy it’ll be okay.”

Hmmm he might not help with that message lmao

A second person would help a lot, but not be entirely necessary. They are designed to be swappable

Oh yeah. My fridge is in the corner, and my kitchen isn’t that large. Swapping the door would make it nearly impossible to use.

I’d probably be concerned (and annoyed) that some unknown person violated my privacy to break into my home… just to fuck with my fridge???

That being said, if I knew who did it because of a long-standing tradition of mutual harmless pranks, or something, I’d probably be amused. But still a little bit annoyed.

Mine are side-by-side, as another commenter mentioned, so yeah. That would be really weird.

I would notice if my washer and dryer got their doors reversed. I never considered it before (first time buying new appliances) but you choose the orientation based on where the walls are.

I imagine with a refrigerator, the same is true. Based on the kitchen layout, one orientation would be vastly more convenient than the other.

I’d definitely notice, mine is less than a year old so I still remember thinking about which side I wanted the refrigerator to open towards.

Plus right now it opens facing the rest of the kitchen area/counter and that works for me. If that suddenly got reversed it’d be a noticeable and annoying change.
