The “born evil” races thing was
all along and as much as I like Larian’s work, they didn’t really do much to stray from that with how previously “evil” races in BG3 were still portrayed.And I’m so fucking bored of illithids and underdark shit in general and have been since the 90s. It’s D&D original-IP-do-not-steal so it’s milked pretty much every CRPG.

I really hate Wizards of the Coast and their
style promises to not do more rent-seeking skullduggery with their IP or not to fuck with licenses but then doing it anyway, so I hope Larian stays away from them entirely.IP’s are really fucking shit. Bad devs gets good licences, even more good series lies dead in drawers, and worst of all, sucesses gets scrapped of their future for no reason (1000 years of death with iron fingers on whomever fucker who decided Harebrained won’t do Battletech 2 but instead shat out fucking turd like Lamplighters)
