Rape has a lot more to do with dominance than it does sex. Although yeah, arousal can and probably often is a big trigger, but let’s take child molesters as an example. A lot of them are pedophiles seeking sexual gratification, but a lot of them aren’t pedophiles and feel no attraction towards children. Yet they still molest.

There’s also factors like how the elderly, the sick, disabled and very young are more likely to be raped. If it was just a matter of arousal then everyone would be equally at risk, and nearly everyone would be a rapist.
