This is 100% true. The two times i’ve been to europe, I heard seemingly sweet people say some of the most racist shit I’ve ever heard against “gypsies”.

As a European, this is 100% true. With ukrainian refugees everyone just loves them and wants them to come, but mention syrian refugees and suddenly immigrants “bringing crime” to Europe is a big problem.

Yeah in my (European) country all the “entrepreneurs” are already talking of “giving them jobs(to the Ukrainians)” obviously in more than precarious situations and paid like 5€hr without contract

I’ve seen Euros unironically saying that Middle Easterners are more culturally/religiously/etc distant from Western Europe than Ukrainians, so obviously it’s only reasonable for them to “prioritise” Ukrainians.

Like, bruh. Just admit you’re racist.

I had a colleague who told me once that he went to an Arab country once and there was garbage everywhere and that just proved that they were an inferior culture that could never „integrate“.

And I was the bad guy for suggesting that he was being racist.

He needs to go to any major European or American city ever if he thinks garbage is an Arab problem.

They’ve traced a large part of the multiple oceanic garbage patches, guess where most of it comes from.

I remember during the refugee crisis a few years back that my town became a hot spot for refugees, since it is close to Germanys border. The people, traumatised, have been treated like shit, no real bed to sleep in, no job opportunities to make some cash, etc. Worst of all, that camp, where they were kept refugee, was right under a motorway bridge. Not forget to mention how racist people in town were and treated them like animals. Ukrainians on the other hand, were and still are welcomed with open arms. They’re given their own houses, jobs, about 200€ per month. They can also enjoy free taxi rides and if they should arrive with cars, park them freely. I even saw a Range Rover with an Ukrainian license plate parking there. The people who owned that car treated that situation like it’s holidays. I even had to live with one of them, but at then end, she was using us to get more money. Her house is still standing in Ukraine, working in home office, while also getting those 200€/month and a well paid job. I’m still asking myself today, where was support like that for the other refugees??
