My parents are conservatives. My mom took us to LGBT family events growing up, made sure never to assume we were straight, etc. Seemed like what should be the neutral position. But my parents are lesbians.

There was never any information about being trans. But like of course she didn’t teach us anything about such - she doesn’t really seem to believe in gender that much and is a bit transphobic.
