Thank you for sharing, I didn’t know it was related to sexual practices… Is this HIV all over again?

“Contact with bodily fluids from infected person” spreads it, but it can be spread via: https://mander.xyz/post/210541

Thankfully it’s not as contagious as covid and we already have vaccines for it.

Last I checked, it was primarily spreading among homosexual men. Has that changed? If not, it’s not too hard to vaccinate the vulnerable population.

It happened because from the firsts persons to have it, one or some went to a pride party, and well, you know what happens at parties.

I am scared of how people will treat gay men for thos coincidence…

Edit:what have I said that could be even considered against gay men??? Wtf

It wasn’t a pride event, it was a large kink event in Belgium. Not sure if you’ve ever been to a kink event but it’s like one big petri dish, particularly in regards to the male gay community.

(Don’t come at me for misperceived anti-community talk, I’m part of the community, and I know exactly the sorts of things that go down at events)

Ah, I see. In Spain a kink event coincided with the Pride day on Canary Islands. Hence my confusion, I’m sorry.

WHO and CDC disagrees. Both are explicitly warning LGBT communities to be careful and that monkeypox risk is higher.

        https://www.who.int/news/item/25-05-2022-monkeypox--public-health-advice-for-gay--bisexual-and-other-men-who-have-sex-with-men

        https://www.cdc.gov/poxvirus/monkeypox/response/2022/index.html

German vaccine authority STIKO also classified “homosexual men who have multiple partners” as a risk group and is recommending the smallpox vaccine for them.

        https://www.zdf.de/nachrichten/panorama/stiko-affenpocken-impfung-100.html

The same article above says that almost all cases in Germany are homosexual men:

“Alle bisher in Deutschland erfassten Fälle betreffen demnach Männer, die Sex mit Männern haben.”

That it’s accidental that there are lots of infections among gay men. Theybare explicitly saying that gay men with multiple partners have higher risk’
