It just sounds a little weird, as somebody from a southern nation that this doesn’t seem to apply to. China is also in the northern hemisphere, so it also seems strange that it’s called ‘global south’. Something like ‘low economic’ would have made a lot more sense to me, but I guess ‘global south’ is the official term.
