This is tangentially related but you should see the requirements for being a prison guard (“corrections officer”) now, and how far they’ve fallen, at least in Missouri. Age limit down from 21 to 18, UA drug tests are pretty much reserved for higher ups, no longer need a driver’s license or GED/diploma.
On one hand it’s good to see how desperate they are, on the other… the state sanctioned alternative is bringing in the military.
