I’ve seen some pretty weird posts regarding psychology in certain places here, so I’m wondering how much people around here know about the brain.

I have a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders, which is like a pre- styled program for speech-language pathology and audiology. I did it because we didn’t have a linguistics program locally, it’s a viable and well-paying career path (I ended up changing my mind on it though due to not liking clinical work), the major and field are mostly women (I just get along with women better professionally), and I wanted some hard science backing (you have to take classes on and learn about neuro, anatomy/physiology, physics, certain biological processes, etc.). I assisted with research on social communication and the effects of its breakdown in regard to dementia. It’s safe to say I have a pretty good understanding of the brain in regard to language/speech/communication, development, things of clinical relevance, etc.
Is there a specific question you are getting at, or is this just general?
general. Thanks for taking time to reply.
