The chairs recline and have built in footrests in the desk for this purpose.
Chinese middle schoolers: *reclines in desk chair. “I love nap time.”
U.S. middle schooler: “Sure hope I don’t get murdered today.”
As someone who grew up in the US school system, this is accurate.
Oops 😬 Didn’t expect that, Very Dark 🌑
In the meantime, in Poland:
In the meantime, the US:
Deep and Dark
About six feet deep and indeed quite dark down there.
Oh, that’s dark
That’s Socialism vs Capitalism for you
Well those polish chairs were actually made in socialism. Circa 50 years ago, and here’s the problem.
Muh “capitalist innovation”, amirite?
Innovating new ways to do nothing and let the populace down.

Well ok, i’ve seen a lot of schools in Poland but nowhere it was even remotely this bad.
In terms of shitty public infrastructure, Detroit is in all ways in a class of its own, sometimes even compared with literal warzones
To transform toilets into such a state without ever having been in the vicinity of spicy food is an art hitherto only learnt by the British
that feels like looking at the aftermath of a warzone

At leaset they get separate chairs, In the states the desk is attached to the chair for what ever reason.

Forcing the children to learn the “middle aged man” chair nap
Okay as someone who can never sleep upright I was going to rip on the notion of taking a nap in those despite looking comfy, until I saw the footrest, that actually does look comfortable enough to sleep in.
Bruh they are taking efficiency and comfort to a whole new level.
Plus those kids are actually happy unlike kids under capitalist systems (I know I’m generalizing but being in a general content/not being exploited mindset helps one fall asleep).
Chinese education is notoriously back-breaking (or brain-breaking?) and starts early, but I think there’s probably good research into naps for kids, so this is still a good thing regardless of their education system.
It’s been known for a while for example that teens go to school too early for their circadian clock and moving first period just one hour later gives a lot of benefits. I’m just not sure about research involving children in between class naps.
It would be nice if China is able to make education less grinding for children in this decade.
A bunch of Asian countries face the same problem (like South Korea and India) but in the places there seems to be very little scope for improvement as no structural change is ever considered. China is in a unique position in that aspect since a lot of course correction takes place.
With the recent ban on education for profit I would expect to see changes soon… takes some time I think to take effect but China took a step in the right direction with this legislation and I expect more to come.
seriously I want one of these for my home office, but, like, adult-sized
pure evil dystopia, these kids are working three 15-hour shifts per day making the stickers that say ‘made in china’ and have to lick the back of them like a stamp causing dehydration, and they have only polluted rainwater to drink which they are only allowed one drop every 6 HOURS. THIS is why they are sleeping, they don’t even learn in schools, this is a detainment camp where they are FORCED to sleep so the KKKCP can harvest they DREAMS
Hey wake up, new Zenz info just dropped.
God tier shitpost comrade.
racists will call this dystopian
“Wow, this is how societies crumble you know! China brushed ahead of the woke Biden-led USA for one measly second (prob bc of the student loan forgiveness) and now they rest on their laurels, sleeping in school”- Conservatives
