Recent evidence suggests that at least some insect species might plausibly feel pain. This Perspective argues that researchers need to rethink the welfare implications of these findings for experiments that use insects.

    I’ve always wondered about this. And with plants. Not that plants feel pain in a traditional sense… but when I think about greenhouses of plants purposefully being infected with diseases, it makes sense to further disease prevention, but it still makes me sad…

      When I have low spoons and can’t bring myself to water my plants, I imagine them screaming and it doesn’t help lmao.
