Sooo are they going to stop trading with them? Maybe?
Maybe within the next decade or two, I can imagine they want to let America continue to throw stones and divorce themselves to out themselves as the bad guy, or continue with the anti-China hysteria while still trading betraying themselves as hypocrites. Who knows though, but either way I’m sure such drastic shifts will take some more years.

Really? They’ve used nuclear weapons on civilians. They’ve used chemical and biological weapons. They’ve had not-so-secret torture camps in Iraq. But somehow that will out them as the bad guy? Come on!

to be fair, I like China’s approach by using capitalism against itself, as American capitalists cannot help but benefit China through trade. I have a lot of respect for Deng and his reforms - I think they are the reason China is even able to stand up to the United States in the first place.
Also, sanctions are a western imperialist tactic - I would not argue for sanctions on any country, as we know sanctions hurt the people, not the governments. The Soviet Union, too, traded with the United States and other NATO countries.
I think sanctions aren’t inherently imperialistic and can do good things. But the U.S. uses them to target civillians.
