The Mastodon iOS app Ice Cubes allows users to add and follow timelines from other mastodon instances other than the signed in one. Is there a way to follow a Lemmy instance or community from within Ice Cubes? I’m unsure what the Lemmy url structure is for instances and communities.
The fedi address should look like community@instance.name for example this community address is lemmy_support@lemmy.ml
It should show up in mastodon after a search.
on lemmy you can put an ! in front of it to link to a community, linking to a user with @ just like on mastodon. From mastodon searching for @ community works because mastodon doesn’t accept the ! kind of search
Thank you. Now trying to figure out why Icecubes isn’t allowing it as a saved timeline.
Maybe it’s checking for if it’s an actual Mastodon instance and recognizes that it’s another software so it prevents it?
