One time these motherfuckers called me up at home to ask me to come in and donate. Then when I went down there they refused me because I had a piercing because even though I had it done in a licensed parlor, it was a licensed parlor in another state.

I think the general idea is that you should be getting a piercing from a licensed, sanitary place and not some guy under a bridge with a rusty syringe, but who cares what state the lincensed place is in??? This was a long, long time ago but I’m still mad
I used to give blood to the Red Cross, then found out how shady they are. Shame, it’s much easier than donating at one of my local hospitals, too. Half the time I gave blood it was practically on a whim, then I’d bus home a little lightheaded for the experience.
I gave blood regularly until they asked me to do a plasma donation and then started hounding me every week.
Unfortunately here in Austria they realized that trans women aren’t all AIDS ridden prostitutes and lifted the ban last year.

Ah, that’s gives me a good idea. I hate giving blood because I feel very sick afterwards, I could have just said I was gay, instead of my go to excuse which was to say that I’m actually a vampire and the temptation of all the blood bags would be to great.
I’m honestly a bit annoyed they finally lifted the restrictions here, now I feel lazy for not donating
