Using jerboa I tried to upload a picture post multiple times on 2 different communities and every time it made the post but without the picture. It also gave me a “job cancelled” error message.

I’ve never tried to upload a photo. I would use an alternative service like a web host, and then you paste the image link here (It will has preview), thats all.
Yeah, need to look into a new go to imagehost. Always used imgur before but don’t have (or want) an account
Every free web hosting suits for you in this case, those are the only companies (and fediverse) that allow you to use for free direct links for images…
You got any personal favorite? Only criteria I have are being able to use it on mobile, not needing an account and have it be able to preview inside jerboa without having to specifically open an external link
So much requirements haha, but you can create an account on pixelfed or a free one on hostinger or a service that allow your use for free.
