I know a staggering amount of people who would see the ‘Christianity is illegal, Christians are fighting back’ bit and suddenly its the greatest masterpiece ever made.
My dad’s a fascist (Ben Shapiro, Tucker Carlson) but I remember distinctly when he came out of “Obama’s America” he said “that was the stupidest, shittiest movie I’ve ever seen”. One of the few things he’s said I can be proud of lol
Dinesh D’loser showed up at my college campus as well, some years ago. The leftist club I was in was sanctioned and threatened with liquidation for putting up posters with his tweets justifying slavery and ICE. We were told we triggered the Black Collegiate group and they filed a grievance against us.
There’s a conservative christian film niche that rich religious fundamentalists pour a ton of money into. A bunch of the movies have a lot of the same actors too.
They’re marketed as “family films” or whatever and get promoted/screened in a lot of churches (I used to date a girl whose family invited me to church a few times and they played trailers for these films before the service lol).
Every film has basically the same plot, which usually involves one of the characters being a “liberal/atheist” strawman, acting really arrogant and dismissive of god or christianity, and then something big happens and they suddenly realize they were wrong and become born again as a humble conservative christian.
