Or better yet look at plastic. We need to stop producing plastic. As a consumer unless I literally grow my own food I don’t have any choice but to buy plastic. Literally everything is sold and packaged in plastic. The producers took the system hostage and I don’t have much of a choice as a consumer other then die.

The producers produce so the consumers can consume, why are we passing blame back and forth when both parties are to blame for this?
If the producers don’t produce, the consumers can’t consume.
But if the consumers don’t consume then the producers can still produce.
Why would they produce if there is no demand?
It’s an easy way to hand wave away pollution.

Producers create the demand for their product. It’s called marketing.
