Looking for any tips and tricks. I know they give you vivid nightmares if you keep them on overnight so I’m planning on removing it at least an hour or two before bed time.

Looking to quit (again) since I relapsed last week and bought a vape. But my health is getting worse, notice I’ve got a bad cough and it doesn’t seem like vaping is helping, so now’s as good a time as any to try.

Thanks if you got any tips.

edit: I also just found out my medicaid covers gum/patches if that’s an option for you. Gonna make another attempt soon as well.

Good luck to you too! That’s the route I went, my medicaid covers nrt so I ordered the patch. The gum didn’t help much last time, plus I don’t really like gum to begin with.

I think you may have rough nights even if you remove it before bed. Even going from cigs to vapes messed with my nights but it gets better and my entire respiratory system thanks me because I don’t get sinus infections like I used to. Also you may want to look in to some of the other nicotine replacement stuff like the pouches or inhalers for when you REALLY need a cigarette because depending on the vape liquid it could make your cough worse for a while.

Only advice i can give is to avoid putting new patches in the same place if you’ve got sensitive skin. The adhesive on the patch i used would cause allergic reactions if I didn’t change it up

I’m kinda planning on kinda CTing it. Ripped up the last of my cigs this morning because I’m sick and don’t want to keep making it worse. The patches honestly helped me with my sleep (in the past, don’t have them this time), but I’m probably in the minority. I really want to get to the point I can just do low dose pouches then get completely off nicotine though
