Tbf I think it is also in large part moreso a testament to how powerful the American propaganda machine is and how they can twist well-meaning people into essentially being fascists with their actions. Hence why so much truth surrounding Ukraine, the Nazis etc. is so ruthlessly labeled “misinformation” or “Russian propaganda,” if all the libs were okay with it they would just own it.

I’m not saying this doesn’t apply to a large chunk, but I do think a large chunk is also well-meaning and our enemies work day and night to make sure they don’t see the truth and are trained to reject it the second they do.

This just tells me they’re either fash or so incredibly dumb that they are easily exploited by fash, which is no different than being fash. Fash are stupid and no one is born fash somebody brought them on. I think if you don’t have it in you to be like “I’m not going to support literal Nazis even if the media tells me to” then you weren’t all that committed to being against fascism in the first place.

Perhaps, but I think a lot of them do own it and like to larp as the CIA and think it’s a clever realpolitik move to embrace fascist militias in Ukraine, purely as a means to an end with Russia, with the idea that they’ll “handle” the Nazis later just as soon as they’ve done their bidding and beat the Russians for them.

Or worse, how many liberals will ignore the obvious about who they’re supporting if it hurts the narrative.
