no one is attacking you personally, and frankly no one is immune to propaganda. i can understand why you would jump to conclusions, but given how ridiculous her testimony and defense has been i think just about anyone would come to the conclusion that she’s lying about abuse claims if they watched enough of it. the other day the jury was shown two completely identical photos except one had its saturation increased to make the supposed injury look more convincing, and she claimed they were two photos taken at two different times. there are multiple records of her making public appearances and looking totally normal after alleged extreme abuse, and makeup artists testifying they did not cover up any injuries. i could go on and on, although i don’t know the details of the previous cases.

of course the danger here is all of the rightoids taking advantage of this case. this plays into a very common american political phenomenon: neither side of the bourgeois political coin has anything to actually offer to the working class, and therefore the only thing they can really do is point out how bad, duplicitous, or opportunistic the other side is. because both sides are all of these things, they often don’t have to lie in order to do this, they just have to reframe the truth to serve their political interests. think trumpers calling into question the biden administration because biden is obviously senile: trying to refute this makes you look ridiculous, and the bourgeoisie as a class controls the government not one person. but, trumpers will reframe this as a communist deep state or whatever the fuck. the same goes for all the clinton scandals, the vast majority of which were actually serious and had merit. in this case rightoids can take one alleged victim who is obviously lying and reframe it as: “well obviously they all must be lying then, there is no patriarchy, men’s rights” etc. this is in fact what makes the opportunism on display here that much more dangerous and despicable to anyone who care about dismantling the patriarchy.

and regarding opportunism, i think we have to keep in mind that liberal bourgeois feminists do not have the interests of women as a whole in mind, and they do not seek the emancipation of women as a class no matter how many times they claim to. rather, they seek the emancipation of themselves to the detriment of proletarian women, and placate to or seek to assimilate into the system of patriarchy and white supremacy in order to do so. this is a textbook definition of political opportunism. i can’t think of a better example than alyssa milano, who took over as face of the metoo movement and yet is connected to the talent agent industry by marriage that to my understanding is responsible for much of the sexual abuse and trafficking that goes on. in fact the whole metoo movement was co-opted by the democratic party and thus was completely silent about the credible claims of rape against joe biden, and the consequent silencing of his accuser. that’s of course not to say that they didn’t, don’t, or can’t suffer abuse obviously
