Former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) said Sunday that the political organization No Labels is scheduled to hold its nominating convention in Dallas next April.

Lieberman, the founding chairman of No Labels, told host Shannon Bream on “Fox News Sunday” that the organization will only pursue its bipartisan ticket if the third party had a shot at winning the election. He said that the group’s goal is to get on the ballot in all 50 states to offer a “unity ticket.”

Joe Lieberman is the absolute worst. Lieberman left the Democratic Party only because he lost his primary race in Connecticut in 2006. He continued to support the Iraq war years after it became obvious it was a failure, he campaigned against Barack Obama in the 2008 general election, and watered down the healthcare bill like you said, among other blatantly Republican positions.

“If we run it’s going to be a bipartisan ticket, so not only will we have concluded that it really can win, but because it’s bipartisan we’re confident it’s going to take equally from both parties so the idea that we’re going to spoil it and re-elect President Trump just isn’t realistic,” Lieberman said.

    Yeah, ok

    Fuck Joe Lieberman.

Every single election that he was running, I’d vote Green or some other 3rd party than give him my vote.

If he was still in Congress today, he would probably have been like Joe Manchin and probably threatened to jump parties if he didn’t get his way.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

“And we will offer this line if we think next year as the race clarifies and really if it is Trump and Biden whether we want to go forward and run according to the standards that I mentioned just a few moments ago and we already have scheduled a bipartisan convention.”

No Labels has been pushing for a bipartisan ticket to land a third-party bid to the White House and has recently launched a campaign in New Hampshire.

Ben Chavis, the Democratic co-chairman of No Labels, also told NBC News in June that the group “is not and will not be a spoiler in favor of Donald Trump in 2024.”

No Labels confirmed to The Hill at the time it will end its third-party push if Biden is ahead in the polls next spring.
