I can only speak as my experience as an American (🤮), but I’ve noticed the media hardly ever talks about contemporary Vietnam. Most other AES (and even formerly AES) states get ruthlessly bashed at every opportunity, but I almost never see anything about Vietnam.
Is there a reason for this?
One day, everyone in the US will suddenly go from not being able to tell Vietnam apart from China to being PhDs in Vietnamology, intimately familiar with its history, culture, and politics.
You know, like they did with Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Hong Kong, need I go on?
Those geo political “experts” on Reddit didn’t even know Chernobyl was located in Ukraine about a month ago
I remember a seeing post that showed an outline map of Eastern Europe with the caption “find Ukraine”.
Wonder what the real accuracy of that was among libs.
Probably pointed at Romania or Poland
And viruses and climate
and suddenly become empaths and sense that they desperately want some freedom sent their way
Low-yield tactical freedom?
