      I need to get better with this privacy stuff. In the process of moving everything away from google and deleting my account. I’ll probably make a very private account for the rare occasion I need to use google products…but trying to limit that as much as possible.

      • I recommend just having as few accounts as possible, and typically only staying logged in while it’s necessary (i.e. by deleting cookies when you’re done), and using Tor in situations where it’s important to hide your identity. (There’s a lot more to think about, but it’s a good start)

        For YouTube, there’s Invidious (example) and Piped (example). For Twitter, there’s Nitter (example). There’s a list of these services here

        It helps to setup a virtual machine with an OS designed for privacy; so that you can isolate an environment for a specific purpose from your regular environment.
