Luna Oi was on an episode of The Deprogram. She talked about how police in Vietnam actually helped people during the pandemic. They helped provided food, supplies, etc.

People in capitalist states just can’t fathom that police could ever be used to help.

    • SPOILERS for the podcast Dungeons and Daddies added a cop character who early on says “I like not picking violence as the default option” to which the dm responds “oh my god you are a fantasy cop”.

So yeah, even cops just being reasonable libs can’t even imagine in our world. It at least makes some sense as to why anarchists can’t imagine any cops being good, but that’s more a condemnation of capitalism than of the state

      *Oppressed people in capitalist states

Something that has always been frustrating to me is middle class people who always assume that the police will help. They don’t understand the repercussions.

As a side note it is so nice to see people in this sub say the things about anarkiddies that I’ve always thought to myself

For real. I know (somewhat distantly) a couple people who got taken in, and joined the force for idealistic reasons. All them ended up disillusioned and embittered.
