Well except continue training Nazi terrorists to attack Russia

With their support from the population they may decide it’s better to turn on NATO asking for land or other things.

I refuse to believe the europeans are so stupid to go to war with Russia. By their own admission the armed forces of basically all of NATO countries are in such a bad state that it will take decades to recover. No european NATO country has the military industrial capacity to compete with Russia, let alone win. And what little they have in stock already has been transfered to Ukraine. Specially in the case of Germany and the UK. What are they going to do? Fight Russia with the old Soviet and Warsaw pact equipment, run out of it the first week and then buy sone more from Russia? Chauvinism is no replacement for armor and ammo. Why would they think they can fight? Just because the gringos are cheering on them?! I do believe Europe has an enormous debt to the global south, but not to the point of continetal suicide and global catastrophe.

The media keeps telling them that each “Saint javelin” (actual circulating meme) takes a gazillion orcs every time it’s used, likewise for every destroyed leopard or Bradley. The leap from this to “sure, it’s in Bad shape, but together we shall persevere!” is not that far away.

No european NATO country has the military industrial capacity to compete with Russia

Not everyone in Russia understands this, much less in Europe

They think they can fight because their plan is to start the fight and count on America’s inability to avoid getting dragged into a war where they could sell a bunch of underequipped countries arms.

If Trump’s re-elected and continues his anti-NATO position they’re fucked. Not that he wouldn’t open new fronts in the war against the world.

Literally one general in uniform would have to go “huh didn’t realize you were such a chicken.” And they could get trump to sign off on literally any military action they want.

They can try, at least. If it’s to happen (I hope it doesn’t for the sheer destruction it would cause, though every day seeing what goes on in Gaza, I won’t deny a small part of me can’t help but wish for it as well) I hope the empire is truly overstretched, its forces diluted, and its arsenals and morale as diminished as possible going into the fight.

Israel, Taiwan, Ukraine… they’re certainly setting themselves up for a world war while the entire global south is increasingly rising up in (socioeconomic) revolt.

The really crazy thing is that they keep underestimating how smart China is and think they’ll take the bait and get dragged into a pointless forever war in Taiwan. If that war breaks out, there’s nothing to stop the PRC from just unloading on exclusively American targets

I think France is stupid enough but Germany did say they wouldn’t drop troops in Ukraine so I think that’s admission of not wanting a direct war with Russia on their end. I do think the US and Canada are stupid enough to push it, though.

What Germany thinks and wants is irrelevant. They will do as they are told by Washington. They didn’t even dare speak up about the US blowing up their main energy supply pipeline. They are a completely subjugated vassal state.

It’s so funny how our choices are Trump or WW3. What’s less funny is that team WW3 are dead serious about it and think we all need to be on board.

That’s a bad move for NATO since Putin just had a speech where he said if NATO drops troops in Ukraine he will use nukes.

He didn’t mean he would use nukes, just that war between two nuclear armed countries necessarily escalates to nuclear war. If you asked Biden, he would say the same thing. Which is why it’s so irresponsible for the West to be arming Ukraine like they have been, tempting fate

I don’t know, I guess reading between the lines it sounds like he would use them but I’m more than willing to be wrong. Then again I’m the type who doesn’t want to poke the bear, unlike NATO it seems. I think being in a NATO country also increases the anxiety around nuclear retaliation. We don’t have nukes but what’s truly stopping them from being dropped here? I’m not a fan of our leaders putting our lives on the line knowing they have bunkers to hide in…

honestly think he’s bluffing at this point. why would he use nukes and risk reprisal when Russia is honestly in a better state military production wise than NATO?

I hope he’s bluffing but when it comes to these matters it seems you have to take it seriously. Threats like these don’t work if you believe they won’t follow through on it. I only say this because we learned about nuclear war strategies in my PoliSci class yesterday and my professor mentioned this Putin speech. He seems quite worried about escalation and so am I.
