Infectious diseases pose a huge problem in poultry farming. Poultry farmers are often forced to rely on antibiotics to tackle this issue. However, this can sometimes result in germs developing resistance to these drugs. These resistant pathogens then find their way into our food via animal products. The frequent use of antibiotics can therefore pose potential health risks to both animals and humans.

      You win. The whole world goes vegan overnight. Billions of animals are no longer required for food manufacturing and other processes. Capitalism requires profit. Those animals are now a cost, so they’re all killed overnight.

      We don’t need 1% of the world doing veganism 100% perfect. We need 99% of the world practicing vegetarianism as best as they can.

      If everyone gave up meat for one day of the week, that’s a 14% reduction. Perhaps you want to erase meat from your breakfast - that’s 33%.

      Abandoning all animal products outright is something most of us is simply not able to do. But taking steps in this direction is something quite achievable that has a big impact.
